The History of
Restoration Center Church
After being delivered and reclaimed from a backslidden state, a prophetic word was received from Eld. James Powell that God was calling Minister Michael Payton (at that time) to a ministry of restoration. Early in 1990, a second prophesy was received that stated that Minister Michael and his wife Sister Anita Payton would jointly shepherd the ministry. We moved forward in obedience to the will of God. In March 1999, Minister Michael Payton was ordained and recognized as an Elder in the Church Of God In Christ. On January 2, 2000 we held our first service in the Old Fort YMCA in Fort Wayne, IN. By December 2000, God had blessed us to move into the building that we are presently in. The Lord has given us this vision and we endeavor to follow Him wholeheartedly to completion. We are here by order of the Lord!

Our Purpose For This Ministry
As the Pastor and one that truly desires to follow diligently the will of God, I considered all that God has done to restore my very own life. In the midst of bondage to addictions and alcohol, He completely delivered me. The purpose of this ministry is to share the availability of this same deliverance with others who haven't come to know this awesome power. It is God's desire that we live a free and separated life from sin and our intention is to pass this news to all that we can.
